she's constantly bashing everything that defines me. from the music i listen to, to the way i wear my hair, to the celebrities i like, i've reached my breaking point and don't want to sound like a whining child but how can i get her to respect what i like?
i mean she doesn't have to like it but she should at least stop making me feel bad about what i like, what could i do, i don't want to change who i am so i can be accepted.

Tell her you disagree. If that doesn't work, beat the living ___ out of her. Sometimes that's the only way you gain respect. Plus, its in your family, not at school so you can't get suspended. Hehe.
