If a person wants to maintain a professional appearance, if she works in a (example: legal office) or some other client based business but is also a working mom with little time to pull out the hair straighteners, and curling devices. I still love the long hair and hate to let it go, but it's time for a change. My hair is about midway at my back, and dark brown, little to know curl, straight, caucasian hair. Any good suggestions for appearing youthful and classy, with little maintenance. Any celebrity hairstyles that can be given as examples? I do the hairbow things on my "off days" just around the house, which is kind of frumpy. Thanks!

I am a 32 yr old working mom. I have found that keeping my naturally straight hair permed is the best thing for me. I keep it a little past my shoulders with longer layers and permed. After washing, I use a pick to comb, then apply mousse all over and dry it upset down. It is pretty easy, but still long enough to wear a ponytail if I want. Plus I think this style is still fun and youthful with lots of options. This has always been the easiest and best looking hairstyle for me. Try a mid-size curl perm. You can go with or without bangs.

Here's some irony for ya. I cut my hair short back in 2002 to do a TV demo (I'm a meteorologist and I was recently laid off from a radio job on Cape Cod). Two weeks after I did that, I got a job with a weather company as a broadcast meteorologist. I'll tell you what, I'm now 37 years old with long straight brown hair halfway down my back. I just went through the same thing! My hair is also the same as yours. I'm 26 and wanted a professional, easy cut. I had mine cut to a little above my shoulders about three weeks ago and it's a breeze to quickly dry and curl. If you use a large curler (I have a brush the blows hot air out of it which works great!) it looks very good. When you get out of the shower in the morning, add a dab of gel, dry and curl and you can have it all done in three minutes or so. Before getting mine done, I surfed the net a bit and found a style that I liked. Then, I found some examples and printed them for the stylist. Worked out well!
