Bangs or no bangs?

Right now, I have no bangs *They are layered with my hair, but still long* Tomorrow, I wanted to get thick long bangs.

Here is why I like them.

I have an ovular face shape, and I hate my face, because it is really long.

Why I don`t like them:

Will they be hard to grow back out?

Stuff like that. Pleeze, tell me what you think. I have wavy and thick hair.

With your face, i think they will look really long. If you go to a hairdresser that is good, you may ask them for advice. Also, remember that you can go light first, and if you like them go thicker. That way you will be able to clip them up, unnoticeably, if you don't like them. I've had thick bangs before, and they aren't that hard to grow out for me. It depends on your hair type. If it grows back quickly, then they'll be easy to grow out. Hope it helped.

That look is awesome! I love thick bangs like that. I just got bangs the other day and now that I have them I realized how much I missed them. But mine are thin because my hair is so short. If you want to grow them out once cutting them its easy. Believe it or not your hair grows very quickly. With in two months or so they'll be nice and long if you don't get them trimmed.

At that length, I don't think they'd be terribly hard to grow back out. The only disadvantage is that the bangs might cause your forehead to break out in a few pimples from the oils in your hair. Go for it, I think it would look good.

That is my old hairstyle with the bangs and the rest just flat-ironed straight! I just changed my hairstyle a week ago.. but when I used to have the bangs, oh wow, I got a lot of compliments. I just had this very sexy and unique look because most people don't wear bangs let alone to wear that kind of hairstyle anymore.. so I rocked it and loved it and so did everyone else. I love the bangs look, it gives you more of a style to your hair and your face.. When you wear make up and those bangs are cut that way, it really gives you a real sexy look.. Considering I wore that look for almost 2 years, my bangs grew longer and all.. At first, wearing bangs may be shock because a lot of people don't wear that style, but it is nice when you are the only one and you look good with it!

First of all, I don't think bangs are too 80s. I hate that people are so caught up on what society thinks. Do what fits you, and not what fits Naomi Campbell. Geez. Well, I love bangs, I think they are just the cutest things ever. However, it seems like with your hair (thick and wavy) they won't look like you are imagining them. Unless you're going to keep your hair straight, I don't know if they will work. Now, straightening your hair a lot, with all that heat, definitely won't be a good thing, and then you won't have to worry about hair because your ends will be a mess. However, if you have a plan to keep up the style, and all that jazz, GO FOR IT.

Another thing. What i love about long bangs like this is that you don't have to always wear them. You can swoop your bang and pin it up and wear a cute up do. Or, you can leave the bangs out and wear the cutest ponytail, without looking like you're five years old. If your hair grows fast, like i think it might, you won't have a problem growing them out too slow.

If all fails, it's hair, and it will grow back! I think you should Go for it, if you really like the style. It's about testing things out to see what you like...won't ever discover what you like if you don't test anything!
