My wife's a brunette, wants to go blonde. "Stylists" tell her, 'you can't, you'll thrash your hair'. List of celeb brunettes who've gone blonde and their hair looks BEAUTIFUL: Jessica Simpson (colorist in NY), Pamela Anderson (who does her own), Kelly Clarkson, Heidi Klum, Mandy Moore, Denise Richards (colorist in Florida), Ann Coulter, Jessica Alba, Jillian Richards (Barberie), Kirstie Alley, Jenny McCarthy and Lisa Kudrow. Lisa Kudrow's hair is nearly black, yet when she goes blonde her hair comes out looking like spun silk.

My wife feels only celebrity colorists know how to do it right and keep the hair looking healthy. She's been all over the net, and indeed it seems a pretty closely guarded secret. It's equally frustrating to her when she cites examples, and people say, "But the celebs you listed are light, light brunettes--they're practically blonde already!" She she's like, "Um, no, I've done the research, they're natural, medium-to-dark brunettes.")

Why doesn't she just wait until her hair is a lighter shade of brown to get it bleached? Celeb stylists are going to charge you a LOT....., besides, a lot of celebrities wear wigs because bleaching/changing your hair that much WILL damage it.
