Its like the picture below basically the same thing ...their is no handel thing to open and close it ...you just wrap your hair around the actual round iron ! you can, but the curls will be smaller than the ones in the picture because you would need a bigger barrel. Also, you need a hairdryer for volume and maybe some root lift on top to make your hair a little higher. if you want your hair to shine, i suggest going on the garnier fructis sleek and shine system and also using some hair wax. to make your hair stay in place, i would use aussie hairspray (purple bottle).

Hey everyone, I am an african american woman who suffers from alopecia at my temples. I guess that would be called traction alo[ecia. Anyway, I have been browsing the internet for almost 2 weeks now for a beauty supply store or a hair stylist who specialize in full lace wigs and it's application. I've known for some time now that Beyonce and other stars have worn these undectectable wigs but i didn't know that these wigs are now sold to the public, hand crafted by stylist, and applied to non celebrity clients at a reasonable price. Needless to say I am unable to find a hair stylist or a beauty supply store in my area who sell full lace wigs atleast non who know about the product they are selling. Can anyone help me find a stylist/installer or someone who hand craft these wigs. I perm would curl it for a very long time but for a one time deal scrunch it. I'm not sure if it works on relaxed hair. Sorry. But take a shower and dry your hair with a towel. Then scrunch some anti-frizz or curling serum in it. Garnier Fructis has some nice products. (they come in a green bottle). You scrunch by evenly distributing the product through the hair and taking your hands and squeezing sections from the bottom.

Then let it air dry or blow dry it with either a special blowdryer for curly hair or a regular dryer on a low setting. You can hairspray it lightly if you like.

if your hairs relaxed, then i would say get out of the shower, blot the access water out of your hair, and apply a strong hold gel to your damp hair. Part it on the side, like ciaras and flip your head upside down. Scrunch your hair upside down like this until all the get is worked into your hair, and then gently flip your head right side up. This will give your waves/curls extra volume, like hers are in that pic. Finish it off with a strong hold hair spray, and your done!

Hello, in your question you say you have relaxed hair so I am assuming you have african american hair texture, so please do not put a perm in your hair, especially if you have relaxed it, unless you want to be bald. To achieve that style its best to do a roller set with medium sized rollers. Use a really good setting lotion when rolling the hair and sit under the dryer until it is completely dry, then finger comb the curls out.

Eyebrow Lightening?

I've seen on make-over shows (What Not to Wear) and Celebrity Look-Alike shows that there is a product out there that can lighten your brows to be the same color as your hair. My hair is medium brown but my brows are jet black. What type of product can I use to lighten them to a brown color? Would regular bleach work? (like the kinds used for other facial hair) What are some good brands to look for? Does it work the same way bleach does? (leave it on for more time if you want to go lighter, leave it on for less time if you only want to go a shade or two) Does one bottle work for many shades or do you have to get a bottle for the shade you want (like hair dye) Any advice?

Eyebrow Lightening?

Sweetie, if you were to dye your eyebrows, you will be doing them just about every 3-4 days and please save your money on any product that says otherwise!!!!!

Have you ever plucked your eyebrows or had them waxed? Do you notice how quickly they grow back? Believe me when I tell you from firsthand experience that if you use a bleaching type product or ever regular haircolor your eyebrows grow back very quickly and will then grow in and look like your eyebrows are "growing in roots" just like if you had colored hair. Only difference is if you color your eyebrows it grows out so fast you will have two toned eyebrows within a week.

Eyebrow Lightening?

Don't do it yourself. It's not even legal in some states because of the potential danger involved (BLINDNESS).

It's inexpensive to get a professional to do it, usually less than $15.

between, plastic surgery, makeup, hair weaves...eating disorders, tattoos, piercings, etc. many young women go to extreme lengths to want to look like their favorite celebrities. many young girls become sexually active at an early age. spend tons of money trying to buy the designer clothes of their favorite celebrities. focusing so much on their appearance to look like these celebrities. i remember hearing this song, stupid girls by pink. it reminds me of my question. girls going to extreme lengths to want to look like, want to be like their favorite celebrities. i remember my 9 year old neighbor when britney spears first came out in a halter top. what do you think?

I think its sad that so much importance in put on appearance for young girls today..In stead of the artifical beauty which changes so fast we should be showing these young women how beautiful they can be by developing thier ful potential. A good education so they can be confident women, good moral upbringing so they don't let themselves be used and teach them that the out side appearance doesn't matter as much as what is in thier hearts, how they care for others..Outer beauty fades with time inner beauty lasts.

Its pretty stupid because celebrities are know for their style if its original. Not if they copied someone else.

I don't think there is anything wrong with using celebrities as inspiration for hair style, clothing ideas but when it comes to eating disorders and plastic surgery i believe that is taking it to far and that's when you realize that person has a problem with who they are.

I agree yet I disagree.... I'm a fan of Beyonce... I wear some her clothing... I just got three Dereon Hoodies from her clothing line and a necklace... But I'm not going to dye my hair light brown and wear contacts and try to find some Jay-Z look-a-like.. I just like her clothing and her music...

But when it comes to piercing, tattoos, and etc... I draw the line somewhere... Bey got this tattoo on her thigh, I'm not going to go to a tattoo parlor and get the exact tattoo on the exact spot!

To summarize this all down, I like to my favorite celebrity clothing, Beyonce, but if you are trying to get the same body type, face, and changing your name to Beyonce... That is taking it to far...
